INSTRUCTIONS FOR ATTACHING THE RustBustRTM2001

Each RustBustRtm2001 set is designed to protect 7000# of metal. A set consists of two Rustbustrs .The set can be separated and used on applications that are smaller. When attaching the RustBustRtm2001 follow the directions below.

1                     Space the Rustbustrs evenly as possible to allow for more even protection from rust and corrosion.

2                     Clean a place for the RustBustRtm2001 to be attached. (See figure #1.0) To do this use a wire brush or tool to clean an area approx. 2” x 2” that is clear of paint or oil and preferably shows the bare metal.

3                     Taking two Rustbustrs or one set, place approx. ½ ounce of RustBustR Electrically Conductive Adhesive on one RustBustRtm2001 wide flat surface, or bottom.  Use the other RustBustRtm2001 to spread the RustBustR Electrically Conductive Adhesive out evenly on both pieces. See figure 1.1.

4                     Place each RustBustRtm2001 onto the mounting area that you have prepared in Step #2. Move the RustBustRtm2001 in a lengthwise back and forth motion, about ¼”, while keeping pressure down to assure no air pockets and that you have the thinnest possible amount of RustBustR Electrically Conductive Adhesive possible. You can use the excess RustBustR Electrically Conductive Adhesive to cover any exposed metal areas that occurred in Step #2 that the RustBustRtm2001 does not cover. The RustBustR Electrically Conductive Adhesive is silicon based Nickel, Graphite, and Carbon Fiber based adhesive.

5                     The RustBustRtm2001 can be held in place while the RustBustR Electrically Conductive Adhesive cures by using tape, preferably Duct tape. See figure 1.2.

6                     Allow the RustBustR Electrically Conductive Adhesive 6 to 10 hours to cure. If mounting on the side of an object and under high vibrations, it may be necessary to use more tape or assist in the holding process while the curing time is going on.

Place approx. ½ ounce of RustBustR Electrically Conductive Adhesive on one RustBustRtm2001 then use the other RustBustRtm2001 to spread evenly between the two. Be sure to replace the cap firmly on the RustBustR Electrically Conductive Adhesive Tube!
